Seguin, Texas Chosen As Site For Caterpillar Supplier’s $12.5 Million Warehouse and Assembly Facility
04/05/2012
The supplier's complex, located west of an existing Caterpillar plant, will create over $12.5 million in new capital investment and create 65 new jobs, according to a Seguin, Texas spokesman. Gray Interplant Systems will provide logistical support services, while FCA will package and crate finished engines for Caterpillar.
In order to secure the project, the Seguin Economic Development Corporation, city of Seguin, and Guadalupe County approved a joint incentive package. Bandera Ventures will receive partial property tax abatement over a 5 year period on its property taxes. The Seguin Economic Development Corporation also approved a $100,000 direct grant tied to job creation and payroll requirements.
"We welcome Bandera Ventures to Seguin and hope this is the first of many successful partnerships." said Betty Ann Matthies, Mayor of Seguin, located northeast of San Antonio. "The pro-business approach and cooperation between our governmental entities allows us to continue to capitalize on opportunities such as this to secure new capital investment and create quality jobs for our citizens."
