Fabricated Extrusion Company Eyes Hagerstown, Maryland, Headquarters-Operations Center

Fabricated Extrusion Company, a provider of custom extrusion manufacturing services throughout the United States, is establishing its East Coast presence by opening a headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hagerstown, Maryland.

“Expanding our manufacturing facility to Hagerstown gives FEC the opportunity to better service the East Coast,” said Jeff Aichele, President of Fabricated Extrusion Company. “Hagerstown specifically is uniquely positioned in terms of convenient transportation access and a talented workforce, along with local resources and support for new businesses. We are excited about the opportunity to utilize these resources and develop a partnership with the community.”

The company, which has roots to the inventor of PVC more than 60 years ago, plans to create 50 new full-time positions in Washington County by the end of 2022. Fabricated Extrusion Company is among the first out-of-state companies to submit a notice of intent and enroll its project in the More Jobs for Marylanders program.

To assist with project costs, the Maryland Department of Commerce has approved a $166,667 conditional loan through the Maryland Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund (MEDAAF). Additionally, Washington County will provide a $50,000 conditional loan based on the creation of new jobs. The company is also eligible for various tax credits including the state’s Job Creation Tax Credit.

“Fabricated Extrusion Company’s decision to locate their East Coast operations in Maryland and add 50 new jobs is great news for Washington County and Maryland,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “Our More Jobs for Marylanders program continues to attract new companies to our state, and along with our highly-educated workforce and strategic location, offers a tremendous advantage to manufacturers.”
