Upstate Niagara Cooperative Expands West Seneca, New York, Operations

08/16/2024
Dairy producer Upstate Niagara Cooperative Inc. plans to expand its operations in West Seneca, New York. The $150 million project is expected to create 130 jobs.

The investment will include additional manufacturing capacity and storage at the company's existing facility at the North America Center corporate and industrial park. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2026.

“The market data we're seeing suggests that both cottage cheese and Greek yogurt are growing, and we're expanding to meet that customer demand," said Upstate CEO, Kevin Ellis. "People are trying to get more protein in their diets."

Upstate Niagara is working with the Erie County Industrial Development Agency on a series of tax breaks and incentives to help finance the project.
