Cheese Manufacturer to Invest $10 Million in New Idaho HQ & Innovation Center
01/25/2012
"As we have grown, and as needs in the cheese market change, it was essential to address two critical items," said CEO Jeff Williams. "First, ensuring our team is located under 'one roof.' Second, we want to ensure that we meet the requirements of our customers and the marketplace. The Innovation Center will be an essential tool to address the changing dynamics in the marketplace."
For over 20 years Glanbia Foods has operated in Idaho. It has two processing cheese plants in Gooding and Twin Falls, and two whey processing plants in Gooding and Richfield. These facilities collectively process over 12 million pounds of milk every day, resulting in over 400 million pounds of cheese and 110 million pounds of dairy ingredients each year.
Glanbia Foods is one of four business units of Ireland-based Glanbia plc, which employs 4,300 workers worldwide.
