10/28/2024
The new Proplate facility, located on Celeste Road, will specialize in high-quality steel fabrication, including cutting, machining, grinding, painting, blasting and welding.
“We have been delivering components to the USA from Sweden for many years. We are keen to secure our presence in this important market by establishing an integrated production facility in Alabama. This allows us to further improve our service to our existing customers and to expand our deliveries to new customers. We are all very excited about this new venture,” said Ian Hardy, member of the Proplate executive team and owner of the U.S. Project. “We are grateful for the assistance the Mobile Chamber has provided as we establish in the U.S.”
Proplate provides turnkey manufacturing services, with expertise in cutting, machining, welding, and painting. The company’s clients include companies in industries such as construction equipment, wind power and mining.
”Proplate’s investment in Chunchula is a win for our community. It not only brings new jobs but also represents a long-term commitment to the growth and prosperity of North Mobile County. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have on our local economy,” noted Mobile Chamber President and CEO Bradley Byrne.
