MilDef Expands, Acquires Product Line In El Monte, California

According to company officials, “with this acquisition, MilDef now offers US customers service and support on both the East and West coasts. For more than 30 years, AMREL's computer division has been a key player in the rugged computers market, providing COTS, modified COTS and customized rugged solutions to the defense, industrial and public safety sectors. MilDef will continue to provide service and support to AMREL's customers with its comprehensive range of rugged products.”
Edward Chen, CEO of AMREL Group, said, "MilDef and AMREL have been partners for over two decades and this acquisition is a natural fit. The synergy is apparent. MilDef Inc. will carry on AMREL's legacy under its MilDef brand name and continue to provide our customers exceptional service and support after the acquisition. AMREL computer division will focus its effort on its mobile biometric product line to provide secure and reliable products to global homeland security."
