Stone Mountain Technologies Plans Piney Flats, Tennessee, Operations

Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc., a developer of thermal compressor products, plans to establish operations in Piney Flats, Tennessee. The $13.9 million project is expected to create 111 jobs in Sullivan County.

The new manufacturing facility will launch production of ANESI, the company’s brand of high efficiency gas-fired heat pumps.

“We are excited to launch the manufacturing and engineering of our ANESI brand of very high efficiency heat pumps and water heaters for residential and commercial buildings in Northeast Tennessee, adding to the state's growing advanced energy economy. We look forward to adding skilled manufacturing jobs and opportunities to the region,” Michael Garrabrant, CEO, Stone Mountain Technologies said.

Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc. (SMTI) is a developer and manufacturer of high-temperature thermal heat pumps under the ANESI brand. Anesi products are ideal for a wide range of residential and light commercial heating needs, including forced air and hydronic space heating as well as water heating.

“We appreciate SMTI for establishing manufacturing operations and investing nearly $14 million in Sullivan County. We know this will add momentum to Tennessee’s growing manufacturing industry, and we look forward to the company’s continued success,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter noted.
