Aviation Company Expanding, Creating 120 Jobs in North Carolina

02/10/2009
Piedmont Aviation, a provider of repair and maintenance services for the aerospace industry, will invest $5.8 million to expand its facility in Kernersville, North Carolina, according to the North Carolina governor's office. The investment includes the relocation of Piedmont's sister company, Limco, from its facilities in Oklahoma; the relocation will create 120 new jobs at the Kernersville facility, with an average annual salary of $44,805 plus benefits. "The company chose to consolidate operations in North Carolina after careful analysis and review of assistance from local and state resources," says Ehud Netivi, president of Piedmont Aviation Component Services. "The business climate and quality of the work force in North Carolina are outstanding." Incentives offered to Piedmont Aviation include a $44,000 grant from the state that must be matched by a local government agency.
