02/13/2019
The terminal, off Interstate 75 at Exit 102, will include truck bays, washout facilities, and an eight acre asphalt pad for trailer storage, with plans to hire 125 associates.
Indian River offers import/export services between the US, Canada and Mexico. Construction should begin in mid-2019.
The Cordele terminal will be its sixth satellite facility, joining others in Visalia, California, Clovis, New Mexico, Mission, Texas, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and Avondale, Arizona.
“Our community is excited with this latest economic development success," Rusty Slade, Chairman of the Cordele-Crisp County Industrial Development Council said. "It confirms that Cordele’s strategic location along Interstate 75 provides superior transportation advantages to companies which hope to serve the Southeastern United States.
