02/15/2025
The company’s new 113,000 square-foot R&D facility will be located at Riverside Research Park.
“Our customers rely on us for purpose-built access equipment, and our new facility in Frederick reflects our commitment to purpose-built spaces that foster growth for our team members and innovation for our customers,” said Oshkosh Executive Vice President and Access Segment President Mahesh Narang.
To support the project the Maryland Department of Commerce is working to approve a $500,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland. Additionally, the Frederick County Office of Economic Development plans to cover up to $50,000 in permitting or project fees. JLG is also expected to be eligible for additional state, county and city incentives, including up to $75,000 through the City of Frederick’s Commercial & Industrial Tax Credit program.
“We’re always thrilled to see a company continuing to choose Maryland, year after year, as they grow,” noted Maryland Department of Commerce Acting Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “This is great news for our friends at JLG, great news for Frederick, and great news for Maryland.”
JLG Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, is a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of access equipment, including aerial work platforms and telehandlers. The company's products are used in various industries such as construction, fit-outs, industrial maintenance, material handling, and facilities maintenance.
