02/17/2015
Family-owned and operated, BK Edwards Fabrication and Welding has been in business in Maben since 1999. The company fabricates and welds a variety of stainless steel products, including handrails, catwalks, platforms, and pipes.
“BK Edwards is looking forward to the road improvements for our customers and vendors that visit daily,” said BK Edwards President/CEO Bruce Edwards. “We would like to thank the Mississippi Development Authority and the Webster County Supervisors for working with us to help improve economic growth in Webster County.”
The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance in support of the project to pave the access road leading to the company’s facility. Webster County is providing in-kind assistance for the project.
“Mississippi’s smaller companies like BK Edwards Fabrication and Welding are at the heart of the state’s economy. Whether they create 10 jobs or 100 jobs, each new opportunity for the residents of Mississippi is equally important,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “I thank the BK Edwards team for its commitment to Maben and the state of Mississippi, and I wish the company many more years of successful operations.”
“MDA is glad to assist companies like BK Edwards as they expand and pursue growth opportunities in our state. Working with our local economic development partners, we strive to create a business environment that encourages growth, and this announcement serves as a testament to that,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “We thank our partners at Webster County for working with us to bring this expansion to fruition.”
