AVX Corporation Expands Manufacturing In Fountain Inn, South Carolina

The company will be adding 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 30,000 square feet of warehouse space to facilitate expansion of specialty passive electronic components production. AVX is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of electronic passive components and interconnect solutions. With multiple manufacturing and warehouse facilities around the world, the company offers a broad range of devices, including capacitors, resistors, filters, couplers, timing and circuit protection devices.
“Continuing to expand our development and manufacturing operations at our headquarters in Greenville County will further strengthen AVX’s position as a leader in the global electronic component industry. We appreciate the continued support of Greenville County, the state and local officials,” said AVX Corporation CFO Kurt Cummings “AVX Corporation has been a friend to South Carolina for decades, and we’re grateful for the commitment they’re showing to our people and the Greenville community by investing and creating 100 jobs there,” Governor Henry McMaster said.
“South Carolina’s robust manufacturing sector continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and today’s announcement of AVX’s new expansion in Greenville County is the latest example of that. This new $35 million investment is a big win for the local community, and we look forward to continuing this extremely successful partnership,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
