China-based Pactera Technology International Establishes US Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina

“Charlotte has proved to be the ideal location to base our U.S. IT Services operations,” said Doug Vinson, Pactera’s vice president of sales and marketing in Charlotte. “Charlotte is the second largest financial center in the U.S. and home to many Fortune 500 companies. And with a high concentration of talented, educated professionals to serve our clients, we expect significant growth in the next few years.”
Pactera’s Charlotte office was formed through a merger between IT services firms HiSoft Technology International Ltd. and VanceInfo Technologies Inc. The firm provides end-to-end solutions in fields such as enterprise business intelligence and big data, analytics, application development and maintenance, mobility, cloud computing, infrastructure management, software product localization and globalization, and business process outsourcing.
“I’m thrilled that Pactera has chosen Charlotte for its U.S. IT Services headquarters with plans to create a significant number of jobs in our community,” said Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx. “I look forward to working with the firm’s leadership to help them continue to grow and expand their business in our city.”

It affirms Charlotte’s status as an IT center. It continues the growth of foreign-owned firms in Charlotte as the largest investment ever by a Chinese-owned company and the largest investment by any Asian company in recent history. We look forward to Pactera’s continued growth and success in Charlotte.”
