Australia-Based Detpak USA Plans Spartanburg, South Carolina, Production Operations

Australia-based packaging manufacturer Detpak USA plans to establish operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The project is expected to create 50 jobs.

The company’s approximately 175,000-square-foot production facility, located at at 2781 New Cut Road, will manufacture packaging products for the North American market. Operations are scheduled to begin in August 2026.

It allows us to better support our customers with locally manufactured products and reinforces our commitment to the U.S. market where we have been supplying customers for over 20 years. We’re focused on building long-term partnerships and delivering the same level of service, innovation and reliability that our customers experience globally. We’re proud to be investing in the Spartanburg community and creating new employment opportunities in South Carolina,” said Sascha Detmold Cox, CEO of Detmold Group.

To support the project the Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded a $100,000 Set-Aside grant to Spartanburg County to assist with building improvements.

Detpak USA. a subsidiary of Australian-based Detpak, part of the Detmold Group, is a manufacturer of paper and paperboard packaging products for the foodservice industry. The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, printing, and distributing sustainable food packaging for restaurants, retailers, and foodservice providers.
