Canada-Based Swamp Rider Plans High Point, North Carolina, Production Operations

07/27/2026
Canada-based amphibious vehicle manufacturer Swamp Rider plans to establish operations in High Point, North Carolina. The $2.4 million project is expected to create 60 jobs in Guilford County.

The investment will include the renovation of an existing production facility, located at 1908 Nugget Drive, which will feature assembly, fabrication, upholstery, painting, finishing, and other manufacturing functions.

"Opening our first U.S. facility in High Point is a milestone for Swamp Rider," said Yuri Pyatkov, CEO of Swamp Rider. "With the region's specialized talent, we're building machines capable of extraordinary things while strengthening our ability to serve clients across the globe."

To support the project the City of High Point approved a $40,000 performance-based grant through its Office, Industrial, and Building Upfit Policy.

Swamp Rider manufactures amphibious all-terrain and utility task vehicles designed to operate in extreme environments, including swamps, muskeg, floodwaters, ice, and remote off-road terrain. The company's vehicles serve customers in the mining, energy, emergency response, and remote logistics sectors.

"Swamp Rider choosing High Point for its first U.S. manufacturing site speaks to our ability to support companies that operate in highly specialized markets," noted Peter Bishop, Economic Development Director for the City of High Point. "We're proud to help bring this project to fruition and eager to support Swamp Rider as they grow their U.S. presence."
