Peerless Manufacturing Expands Manufacturing Facility in Denton, Texas

08/03/2012
Peerless Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of PMFG Inc., began expansion of its manufacturing facility in Denton, Texas, with construction on its almost $10 million, 80,000-square-foot, manufacturing facility near Denton Municipal Airport.

"We continue to see growth in demand for our environmental and process products equipment both domestically and internationally. This growth is attributed in large part to the role that natural gas will play in meeting future energy requirements," Peter Burlage, Chief Executive Officer of PMFG said. "The new facility will expand our existing manufacturing capabilities in the United States and support our global supply chain needs," he added.

When fully operational the facility anticipates employing over 150 people near Dakota Lane in Denton, a city north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The firm, which builds components and produces materials from natural gas, serves the markets for power generation, natural gas infrastructure and petrochemical processing.

As an incentive to help the firm expand its operation, from a 22,000=square-foot manufacturing plant, the city of Denton provided a $161,000 tax incentive to assist the firm.
