Apollo Alliance: Make It in America: The Apollo Clean Transportation Manufacturing Action Plan
The Apollo Alliance says 3.7 million new jobs could be created based on its Transportation Manufacturing Action Plan (TMAP).

Based on task force findings, TMAP examines options to expand domestic production of advanced transit systems, cars, and clean trucks. The association recommends $40 billion in annual investments, which they say can rev up the economy and double public transportation ridership in the next 20 years.
Of the jobs the alliance says could potentially be created, 600,000 would be in manufacturing. Workers would be needed to produce the buses, rail cars, and component parts that the proposal entails.
