11/24/2025
The investment will include the installation of a new machining line for 4-cylinder hybrid-compatible engines at the company’s existing powertrain facility.
“Customers are embracing Toyota’s hybrid vehicles, and our U.S. manufacturing teams are gearing up to meet that growing demand,” said Kevin Voelkel, senior vice president, manufacturing operations. “Toyota’s philosophy is to build where we sell, and by adding more American jobs and investing across our U.S. footprint, we continue to stay true to that philosophy.”
TMMK currently has an annual production capacity of approximately 550,000 vehicles and 700,000 engines.
“I want to thank the leaders at Toyota for once again making a significant investment into the company’s largest global manufacturing facility in Georgetown,” noted Governor Andy Beshear. “The Kentucky-Toyota partnership has driven decades of success, and I am proud to see our relationship grow even stronger.”
“Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky continues to build upon the great foundation they constructed four decades ago,” added Jack Conner, executive director of Scott County United Inc. “This is a testimony to Toyota’s commitment and reinvestment in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Bluegrass region and the Georgetown/Scott County community. We look forward to this exciting endeavor and the positive impact it will have.”
