Taiwan-Based PEGATRON Plans Georgetown, Texas, Manufacturing Operations

11/27/2025
Taiwan-based PEGATRON Corporation, a company specializing in artificial intelligence computing services, plans to establish operations in Georgetown, Texas. The $35 million project is expected to create 100 jobs within the first three years.

The investment includes the acquisition of a 168,784-square-foot facility, located at 610 Blue Springs Blvd., which will produce advanced electronic assemblies for the North American market.

“We are thrilled to inaugurate this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility,” PEGATRON Vice President Charles Lin said. “This significant step allows PEGATRON to move forward with providing our customers better solutions and services in the U.S.”

To support the project the City of Georgetown and Williamson County are considering approval of performance-based economic development agreements in exchange for PEGATRON’s commitment to capital investments and job creation. These agreements will go to the Georgetown City Council and Williamson County Commissioners Court for approval.

“Texas is a global leader when it comes to advanced tech and AI,” noted Adriana Cruz, Executive Director of the Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office. “I congratulate PEGATRON on their first U.S. manufacturing site and thank them for selecting Texas for this significant investment. As the No. 1 U.S. destination for foreign direct investment, Texas welcomes innovative global companies like PEGATRON to our flourishing business ecosystem. The location of this project will make a lasting impact on Texas’ growing tech infrastructure, while reinforcing the power of the ‘Made in Texas’ brand.”

Pegatron designs and manufactures electronic products, including smartphones, notebooks, and game consoles, for technology brands.

"The global technology manufacturing industry is evolving rapidly as companies look to strengthen supply chains and bring advanced production closer to their customers,” Opportunity Austin CEO Ed Latson added. “Pegatron’s decision to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Georgetown highlights the Austin region’s growing role as a hub for high-tech manufacturing."
