Portacool Plans Global Headquarters In Center, Texas
03/05/2015
Located at 721 FM 2468 adjacent to the longstanding Portacool manufacturing plant, the new building will consolidate operations to establish a company campus in Center. The one-story office building will house approximately 45 employees including the executive team, sales, marketing, customer service, accounting, IT, sourcing and logistics. Construction is slated for completion in October 2015.
“As our company celebrates its 25th anniversary and we embark on a new era of innovation, we determined now was the best time to expand our headquarters to accommodate our strategic vision for growth over the coming years,” said Rob Kennedy, Chief Financial Officer of Portacool. “We are grateful for the critical assistance we received from the City of Center, Shelby County and the Economic Development Corporation. Without their efforts, the new global headquarters wouldn’t be possible.”
“This groundbreaking marks a major milestone in the life of not only Portacool, but also in the life of the City of Center,” said Center Mayor David Chadwick. “For a community to grow and thrive, it takes the commitment and vision of industry leaders. Through their expansion, Portacool is providing jobs and an investment in the future of our community.
