Amazon Plans Raleigh and Garner, North Carolina, Delivery Hubs
03/08/2021
The new delivery station in Garner aims to open this summer within the Greenfield North Business Park at 1201 N. Greenfield Parkway, near U.S. Business 70 and Interstate 40.
“We are excited to continue to invest in the state of North Carolina with two new delivery stations that will provide efficient delivery for customers, and create hundreds of job opportunities for the talented Triangle workforce. These new delivery stations represent Amazon’s unwavering commitment to safety, technological innovations and skilled teams who are obsessed with delivering for our customers,” said Ashley Lansdale, a spokesperson for Amazon.
The Amazon Logistics delivery station in east Raleigh will be on 4524 New Bern Ave., near I-440, with construction expected to be completed this summer. The station will be operational toward the end of 2021, according to company officials.
The additions expand Amazon’s Triangle footprint which already includes a huge distribution center in Garner and other delivery stations in Durham and Cary. The expansions follow Amazon’s recent agreement with Wake Tech to offer training in robotics for workers at the Garner warehouse.
