10/19/2017
This latest $8.8 million investment is projected to create an additional 100 jobs over the next five years.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded a $100,000 Set Aside grant to Greenville County to assist with the costs of site improvements.
“Metromont is very excited to expand our operations in Greenville. This offers an opportunity to provide expanded product offerings to our customers while improving our operational efficiencies. We are also very thankful to the state for being so very supportive of this transition, to that end we must say “Thank you” to the citizens of South Carolina,” said Metromont Corporation Vice President & CFO Russell C. Rumley.
“South Carolina continues to lead the way in the global manufacturing industry, and today’s announcement by Metromont Corporation is the latest example of that. With this additional investment, the leadership at Metromont is doubling down on its commitment to our state, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for a long time to come,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
“Metromont Corporation’s decision to expand its operations in Greenville County is a boost for our local economy. Greenville’s excellent business climate and productive workforce weighed heavily in this decision,” Greenville County Councilman Ennis Fant, District 25 said.
