10/02/2014
Custom Truck & Equipment specializes in the rental, sales and custom modification of cranes, vocational trucks and heavy equipment. The company serves clients primarily in the oil, gas and utility, railroad and maintenance of way, building construction, mineral exploration, road infrastructure, propane and material distribution, and disposal and hauling industries.
“Expanding our presence in Kansas City provides a great opportunity for Custom Truck & Equipment to further enhance the services we provide, and we’re grateful to both our state and local partners for their assistance in our expansion project,” said General Manager, Chris Ross. “Kansas City has proven to be an outstanding business location and we remain committed to investing and growing right here in Missouri.”
As an incentive to assist Custom Truck & Equipment with its expansion, the Missouri Department of Economic Development offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria. The City of Kansas City and the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City also partnered with Custom Truck & Equipment to make its expansion possible.
“Today’s announcement is more proof that Missouri’s economy continues to grow and thrive,” said Mike Downing, Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “Custom Truck & Equipment’s investment in the Show-Me State validates our pro-business climate and superior workforce. I look forward to growing our partnership with Custom Truck & Equipment as we work together to move Missouri forward.”
