Novus Advanced Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Hunt Services, Inc., is a manufacturer of steel framing components and accessories for the construction of commercial and residential structures. The company specializes in manufacturing steel panels for the hospitality and retail center sectors.
The company has had operations in Lawrence County since 2016. With this expansion, Novus plans on locating operations in a new, larger building in St. Joseph to keep up with the company’s growing capacity.
“On behalf of my family and Hunt Services, Inc., I would like to thank all of the local leaders in St. Joseph, Lawrence County and the State of Tennessee for helping us to bring the Novus Advanced Manufacturing plant to fruition. This vision was born on a napkin in a restaurant four years ago and has become a reality due to everyone’s hard work and attention to detail.
Our road ahead will be challenging, but because of our products, our innovative approaches, our people, and this community, we anticipate being extremely successful and in turn will share that success with our employees and the Lawrence County community,” Novus Advanced Manufacturing, LLC President David Hunt added.
“Tennessee’s economy is built on existing companies like Novus continuing to succeed in our state. I appreciate Novus for seeing the advantages of doing business in Tennessee and choosing to expand and create nearly 175 new jobs in St. Joseph. I look forward to continuing our partnership with Novus and wish them future success in Lawrence County,” said Governor Bill Lee.

Tennessee continues to be a hub for the manufacturing industry, with more than 2,300 manufacturing establishments located in Tennessee. I want thank Novus for creating 174 high quality manufacturing jobs and expanding its operations in St. Joseph,” added TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe.
