Husqvarna Investing $105M in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Facility
11/02/2010
"The expansion of our Orangeburg plant will help our company remain competitive and make our operations more efficient. South Carolina has proven to be an ideal fit for our operations, providing us with a thriving business environment, a talented work force and exceptional access to markets. We look forward to expanding our manufacturing operations in South Carolina in the near future," said Michael Jones of Husqvarna North America.
The company is adding equipment to the facility, which currently manufactures riding garden tractors and tillers. It will add production of zero-turn-radius lawn mowers when it incorporates the new equipment.
Husqvarna will complete a $30 million investment by the end of 2013, and a $75 million investment by the end of 2024.
