Baymont Bathware Relocates Production Plant in Golden, Mississippi
11/09/2017
The company is reopening in Tishomingo County following a fire that destroyed its previous facility. Prior to the fire, Baymont Bathware employed 151 workers. The company currently has 89 employees and expects to reach its pre-fire employment level plus the additional 20 jobs by the end of 2018.
“Baymont Bathware’s dedication to reopening in Golden and adding even more jobs after facing adverse circumstances demonstrates the company’s commitment to the community and its employees,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
“Baymont is so appreciative of the support we have received from the state and the local community since the fire,” said Baymont Bathware President Mike Stockton. “MDA, the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and Northeast Mississippi Community College have worked closely with us to restart production and have given us the help we needed to grow. We thank Governor Bryant and the local leadership on their efforts to help us continue to invest in Tishomingo County.”
Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance for infrastructure improvements. Northeast Mississippi Community College is working closely with the company to identify and train employees as they get back up to their full employment level.
“For 16 years, Baymont Bathware has been a valued member of the Tishomingo County business community, investing private capital while providing career opportunities for Mississippians, which strengthens the local economy,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “MDA is proud to support the Baymont Bathware team, as well as our teammates at the Tishomingo County Development Foundation and Northeast Mississippi Community College, as the company moves into its new facility producing top-quality bath fixtures.”
