Ashland Chemical Company Expands In Piedmont, South Carolina

Ashland’s Greenville County manufacturing site, which is located at 410 Old Pelzer Road in Piedmont, produces high-performance, pressure-sensitive adhesives and specialty resins. Ashland will be making upgrades to its infrastructure and production capabilities to support strategic growth in the specialty water-based adhesives markets.
“This site investment reflects Ashland’s continued commitment to investing in its portfolio of highly-differentiated specialty ingredients and helping deliver value to our customers,” said Piedmont Plant Manager Michael Casedonte.
“We’re excited to celebrate the ongoing success of our state’s thriving manufacturing industry. I congratulate Ashland on this wonderful expansion project and look forward to supporting them as they continue to grow and prosper here in South Carolina,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.
“Greenville County is a robust manufacturing community, and Ashland has been a contributing member for many years. We are happy the company chose to expand its business here and look forward to supporting its growth here in Greenville,” said Greenville County Council Chairman Dr. Bob Taylor said.
