12/07/2017
The company will lease 217,000 square feet to create its first free-standing distribution center in 10 years. Cintas will add 69 jobs in picking, shipping and office operations. The company will begin hiring for those positions in March 2018.
“As our business evolves, we are exploring ways to take better care of our valued customers and establishing a distribution presence is a key step,” said Terri Cain, Vice President of Distribution, Production Planning and Replenishment at Cintas Corporation. “This new facility in the Columbus Region will allow Cintas Corporation to better and more efficiently serve our vast customer base.”
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Cintas plans to establish a distribution center in the Columbus Region to improve service nationwide. The Groveport facility features state of the art technology and processes.
“We are pleased to welcome Cintas to Groveport, and thrilled to play a part in the company’s plans to innovate and augment its capabilities by establishing a distribution center,” said City of Groveport Assistant City Administrator Jeff Green. “Groveport’s advantages for the movement of goods will provide a solid ground for Cintas.”
“Cintas is a nationally respected brand, and we and our partners at Columbus 2020 are delighted that new associates in Groveport will play a role in this company’s continued growth,” said JobsOhio Managing Director for Logistics Ted Griffith. “Central Ohio is an ideal location for this investment and Cintas’ consistent focus on customer service.”
