Green Cubes Technology Expands Kokomo, Indiana, Operations

Green Cubes Technology, which develops and manufactures advanced battery power systems for global OEMs, announced plans to expand its operations in Kokomo, Indiana. The company plans to create up to 71 new jobs by the end of 2021 in Howard County.

The company, which is headquartered in Kokomo, will invest $1.8 million to build a larger facility at 305 Pipeline Way on the city's south side to serve as its global headquarters, technology center and manufacturing site. The company plans to break ground on the new space this mid-summer and expects to be operational in early 2019. As part of its growth, the company has already begun hiring additional assemblers and manufacturing support positions and will continue hiring over the next six months.

“Kokomo has a wealth of engineering talent," said Anthony Cooper, Vice President of Engineering for Green Cubes Technology. "So it made sense to expand here. Kokomo embraces new technology and emerging green technology. The ongoing development in Kokomo will attract skilled talent, so we will always have a deep talent pool to draw from."

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Green Cubes Technology up to $532,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Kokomo will consider additional incentives.

In 2015, Green Cubes Technology consolidated other U.S. operations to Kokomo and the company has since outgrown its facility at 4124 Cartwright Drive. The new, 20,000-square-foot space will nearly double the company's Indiana footprint, allowing Green Cubes Technology to expand its workforce in order to meet a growing demand for innovative portable, mobile and stationary power solutions.
