Amazon Plans Marshall County, Mississippi, Inbound Cross Dock Operations
04/26/2025
The company will construct a 930,000-square-foot facility at the Chickasaw Trails Industrial Park that will receive and consolidate products from vendors, then ship them to surrounding fulfillment centers.
“This new site will allow us to better serve customers in Marshall County and the surrounding area. We’re grateful for our partnership with the Mississippi Development Authority and Marshall County. We look forward to sharing more details about this facility in the future,” Amazon Senior Manager of Economic Development Jessica Breaux said.
To support the project the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. MDA also is assisting with road improvements. Additionally, Marshall County is assisting with the project.
“Amazon’s decision to invest millions to establish a cross dock facility in Marshall County marks another notable win for Mississippi and spotlights the state as a key player in the global supply chain. Also, the addition of 1,000 more jobs in Marshall County via Amazon sends a very clear message: we have the workforce and the business environment to support companies of any size. The MDA team is proud to once again partner with Amazon as the company steadily increases its footprint in Mississippi and brings so many opportunities to the people of our state,” Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork noted.
