Kuehne + Nagel Begins Operations in Charleston County, South Carolina

Established in 1890, Kuehne + Nagel has grown into one of the world’s leading logistics providers, state officials noted. With more than 1,300 offices and 70,000 employees, the firm provides logistics solutions to a variety of key industry sectors, including automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, retail and more.
Located on the Mercedes-Benz Vans site off of Palmetto Commerce Parkway, Kuehne + Nagel’s new facility will be providing production logistics services to support MBV’s expanding manufacturing operations. Comprehensive services will include goods receiving, inventory management, just-in-time picking and sequencing for delivery.

Our supply chain services in the new Charleston, South Carolina. Sprinter van plant will improve assembly line productivity and enhance vehicle production. We look forward to adding value to our customers’ supply chain for many years to come,” said Kuehne + Nagel North America President & CEO Bob Mihok.

“Kuehne + Nagel’s announcement is exciting, not only because of the quality new jobs created and investment secured for Palmetto Commerce Parkway, but because another keystone has been laid for automotive success and support of the Mercedes-Benz Vans Sprinter program,” Charleston County Economic Development Director Steve Dykes added.
