Flexential Adds Third Data Center in Atlanta, Georgia
07/13/2018
"Flexential is a tremendous, full-service provider for us as our enterprise customer needs have steadily increased," said Jonathan Gay, Professional Services Manager at ADTRAN, a Flexential customer and provider of networking and communications equipment. "This Atlanta expansion enables us to accommodate growth in our hybrid IT environment and ensure that our needs are met for the foreseeable future."
The new two-story data center will be adjacent to Flexential's existing Alpharetta, Georgia, facility, increasing the company's total Atlanta footprint to more than 175,000 square feet. As an edge data center in northern Atlanta connected to Flexential's Flex Anywhere network fabric, it will have diverse, geographic reach throughout the Southeast and serve as an ideal facility for customers in key industries like healthcare and financial services to reach end users and access workloads, no matter their location.
Additionally, the new data center will accommodate wholesale and large enterprise deployments, featuring build-to-suit, move-in ready space with UPS-backed power and cooling infrastructure to meet the most demanding density requirements.
"Atlanta is a high-demand, dynamic data center market, and we are excited to begin construction on this new facility," said Chris Downie, CEO at Flexential. "Our growing data center capacity, FlexAnywhere network fabric and expertise in layering cloud, managed solutions and professional services onto any customer solution, uniquely positions us as the only multi-tenant provider that can offer a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to help customers meet their evolving requirements and solve the most complex IT challenges."
