Eagle Manufacturing Produces Electric Cars in Webster City, Iowa

AMS Inc., a division of Eagle Manufacturing, will create up to 300 jobs in Webster City, Iowa, the Daily Freeman-Journal reports. The car maker will produce a new line of all-electric vehicles under the Electric Motor Cars brand.

"The city contacted us after their economic development consultant spoke with Envision about locating manufacturing in Webster City. The project obviously peaked our interest and after months of collaboration, we're expecting to start assembly on the first cars in a matter of weeks," said Eagle owner Joe Fleming.

The city's strategic location, labor market, and technology attracted Eagle to the location. Webster City has also beefed up its economic development efforts recently, spending $1.5 million on development initiatives.
