New RV Plant for Marion, Indiana

A startup company - Earthbound RV - plans to open a factory in Marion in central Indiana making recreational vehicles. The company will initially hire 60 people at the facility and may ultimately hire 300 workers over the next few years. Production of the firm's towable trailers is expected to begin in March.

Company Vice President David B. Hoefer says its vehicles will be significantly lighter than similar-sized RVs and be made from composite materials.
