SuperATV Plans $4.95 Million Expansion At Its Madison, Indiana, Operations-Test Facility

SuperATV, a producer of aftermarket parts and accessories for all-terrain vehicles, will invest $4.95 million to expand its operations and testing facility in Madison, Indiana. The expansion is expected to create up to 114 new jobs by 2018.

The homegrown-Hoosier company will purchase, renovate and equip a facility in Madison to expand its storage and test areas for new parts and equipment. Moving most operations from its current 232,000-square-foot facility, the company is currently considering facility options, allowing it to expand production of kits and customized ATV products for its customers at the new facility.

“We here at SuperATV are excited about the opportunity to continue our growth in Madison,” said Harold Hunt, President/Owner of SuperATV. “SuperATV looks to broaden its market share and continue adding new products and services to its customers. The city of Madison and the state of Indiana have been extremely helpful in assisting us with the next step for our company. We are a homegrown company and look forward to many more years in Madison.”

Founded in 2003 in Hunt’s garage, SuperATV specializes in the research, design, development, manufacturing, logistics and distribution of aftermarket ATV parts and accessories. Today the company produces 175,000 ATV parts each year.

As an incentive, Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered SuperATV, LLC up to $1,000,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Madison will consider additional incentives.

It’s a story made possible by a business climate that’s cutting red tape and letting companies do what they do best—create jobs and grow our economy.”

“SuperATV’s relocation and expansion to a larger facility is great news for Madison, Jefferson County and the state of Indiana,” said Madison Mayor Damon Welch. “This is a perfect example of a small start-up enterprise that grew in our community and has decided to remain and expand in Madison. Harold Hunt is making a major investment for this expansion that will create over 100 new full-time jobs. This project has truly been a team effort for the benefit of our community.”
