Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea Invests $1.1 Million To Expand Its Columbus, Ohio, Facility
06/30/2014
The specialty coffee provider, which works with 350 independent businesses to distribute coffee across nearly 30 states, plans to build a larger manufacturing facility along with a research and development center.
“The Columbus Region has been a remarkable place to start our coffee business,” said Greg Ubert, Founder/President, Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea. “We’ve discovered Columbus to be a sophisticated test market for our products, and couldn’t have found a better location for our distribution needs. Thanks to the community, we’re able to expand and continue to provide our valued customers our hand-roasted specialty coffee they’ve grown to love.”
The company’s commitment also includes the addition of 20 positions to its current 20-person workforce. Hiring will begin in fall 2014 and will include warehouse, roaster and research and development positions.
“It’s always encouraging to see a Columbus-grown business expanding and adding jobs in our community,” said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “We thank Crimson Cup and we look forward to watching the company’s continued growth.”
