01/23/2026
Ampirical, a provider of power system engineering and project delivery services, plans to expand its operations in Covington, Louisiana.

The company will construct a new 90,832-square-foot facility at its existing headquarters campus.

“This expansion marks an exciting milestone for Ampirical,” said Matthew Saacks, CEO of Ampirical. “Our growth is a testament to the strength of our team and the trust our customers place in us. This new building will allow us to continue investing in our people, our technology, and our community as we shape the future of power delivery.”

Ampirical is a power systems engineering and construction firm specializing in high-voltage transmission, substation, and distribution projects for utilities, municipalities, and industrial clients.

“Ampirical’s decision to expand its headquarters reflects the confidence companies have in Louisiana as a place where major projects move forward and supporting businesses grow alongside them,” LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois noted. “As a key partner on some of our state’s most significant investments, Ampirical is scaling its operations to meet rising demand. This expansion will create new opportunities for skilled workers while reinforcing the critical infrastructure that powers Louisiana’s economy.”

“Ampirical is a fast-growing, innovative firm, and this headquarters expansion underscores why St. Tammany Parish continues to be a leading business location,” added Michael Hecht, President and CEO of GNO, Inc. “It has the right combination of talent, infrastructure, and business environment that companies are seeking out. Congrats to Ampirical CEO Matthew Saacks – we are amped up about your growth!”

“Ampirical’s expansion reflects the type of high-growth investment St. Tammany is working to attract companies that create high-wage, high-value, highly technical jobs in critical industries,” said Russell Richardson, president and CEO of St. Tammany Economic Development Corporation. “With average salaries exceeding $90,000, this project draws innovative energy and engineering professionals while strengthening our regional workforce and long-term economic competitiveness.”
