04/17/2026
The investment at the company’s existing manufacturing facility will include advanced laser cutting technology, metal forming capabilities, and enhanced powder coating systems.
“At ATW Truck Equipment, our goal is to lead the industry in quality, innovation, and the fastest lead times,” said Braden Edwards, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ATW Truck Equipment. “This new facility strengthens our ability to deliver faster production, greater capacity, and a more reliable partnership for our customers.”
To support the project, Dakota Bodies will benefit from the Missouri Works Program, which provides access to capital through withholdings or tax credits tied to job creation. The company is eligible to receive approximately $1.38 million in incentives, contingent upon meeting job creation and investment requirements.
“Dakota Bodies’ decision to expand in Liberty and create 172 new jobs is a strong win for the community and a testament to Missouri’s skilled workforce and pro-business climate,” noted Michelle Hataway, Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “We’re proud to support this growth that will deliver meaningful impact for families in the region.”
Dakota Bodies manufactures utility and service truck bodies as part of the ATW Truck Equipment family of brands, serving commercial and fleet customers across North America.
