Commercial Specialty Truck Holdings Expands Cynthiana, Kentucky, Operations

06/17/2025
Commercial Specialty Truck Holdings, a manufacturer of refuse and concrete mixer truck bodies, plans to expand its operations in Cynthiana, Kentucky. The $7.5 million project is expected to create 50 jobs.

The investment at the company’s existing headquarters will allow it to in-source weldment and machined parts that are currently being produced by third-party suppliers.

“We are excited to continue growing in Cynthiana and adding high-quality jobs that create a career path and growth potential for our team members,” said Nate Nedley, president of CSTH.

To encourage investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved an incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program. By meeting its annual targets over the agreement term, the company can be eligible to keep a portion of the new tax revenue it generates. The company may claim eligible incentives against its income tax liability and/or wage assessments.

“Kentucky’s growth in manufacturing continues to propel our record-setting economic momentum,” noted Governor Andy Beshear. “Companies continue to see the value of doing business in the commonwealth, taking advantage of our skilled workforce, unique location and access to resources. CSTH choosing to once again invest in the Cynthiana and Harrison County communities is a testament to their growth and belief in Kentucky. This is an exciting next step for the company, and I look forward to their continued success.”

In addition, CSTH can receive resources from Kentucky’s workforce service providers. Those include no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job-training incentives.

“Cynthiana-Harrison County is so proud of CSTH’s decision to not only construct a state of the art, 250,000-square-foot building, but add 50 more jobs,” added Garnett Furnish, executive director of Cynthiana-Harrison County Economic Development Authority. “Their belief that Cynthiana-Harrison County is providing a workforce that will ensure the company’s future and enhance their workforce will improve our community in so many ways. We stand ready to assist CSTH continue to be a world-class company.”

As the parent company of Continental Mixers, E-Z Pack Trucks, One Source Parts and Dynamic Towing and Manufacturing, CSTH is a producer of truck bodies and related aftermarket parts. The company serves the specialized needs of concrete and refuse fleet operators across North America.
