Founded in 1997 in Istanbul, Turkey, AKPA Kimya specializes in the production of organic peroxide, initiator, accelerator and paint dryers used in the composite, petrochemical and paint sectors. With a wide range of products in the chemical industry, AKPA Kimya provides fast and efficient product supply worldwide, including to North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The company’s new distribution facility is expected to come online in the second quarter of 2019.
“We are excited about our new facility in Allendale County. At AKPA Kimya, we are always delighted to work with the community. We hope that this facility is the first of many investments that will help both the company and community thrive. We would like to thank everyone who was able to make this happen, including the county officials, SouthernCarolina Alliance and the state of South Carolina,” said AKPA Kimya President Kemal Darcan.
“Today, we’re proud to celebrate a win for one of our rural communities. AKPA Kimya’s new operations are proof that a positive business environment has been cultivated throughout South Carolina,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
“Foreign direct investment continues to be a major driver of our state’s economy, and this announcement in Allendale County is proof that our pro-business efforts are paying off. We continue to bring jobs and investment to all corners of our state, and I congratulate Allendale County on this great win,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
“We appreciate the jobs and investment that AKPA Kimya will bring to our county, where manufacturing and distribution are the backbone of our local economy,” said Allendale County Council Chairwoman Theresa Taylor.
“SouthernCarolina Alliance welcomes AKPA Kimya to our region, and we thank them for their investment in our community. Every job created in Allendale County improves the quality of life for a family in our area. We are proud to have this international company operating in our region and serving their growing markets,’ SouthernCarolina Alliance Chairman Marty Sauls said.
