Kemin Industries Plans Nearly $30M Expansion in Des Moines, Iowa

Kemin Industries is investing nearly $30 million in new manufacturing and research facilities in Des Moines, Iowa. The company will build six manufacturing sites, three research facilities, and a new corporate headquarters. It will also add 98 jobs.

"As we approach our 50-year anniversary in 2011, we are pleased to be well-positioned to make this significant investment in the future and our commitment to our employees, customers, and the millions of lives that we touch every day," said Dr. Chris Nelson, president and CEO of Kemin Industries. "Our expansion in Des Moines is an important part of the overall global expansion plan that will take the company to the next level."

Kemin provides nutritional supplement goods to the feed and food supply chains, and global health, nutrition, and beauty markets.
