QT Corporation Plans Goldsboro, North Carolina, Manufacturing Operations

10/19/2026
Power controls and switchboard manufacturer QT Corporation plans to establish operations in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The approximately $49.2 million project is expected to create 188 jobs in Wayne County.

The investment will include the construction of a manufacturing facility at Park East Industrial Park to produce and distribute power control systems and switchboards for customers throughout the U.S.

"This investment is about building for what's coming," said QT Corporation President Jimmy Sauls. "Demand for power infrastructure across renewable energy, data centers, and electrification is growing faster than ever, and our customers are counting on us to keep pace. Wayne County has been home to our operations, and expanding here was an easy decision. The workforce is skilled, the community partners are committed, and the infrastructure is in place. Our new facility at Park East will let us grow our production capacity, bring more of our manufacturing under one roof, and create 188 quality jobs for families in Eastern North Carolina. We're grateful to our state and local partners for their support, and we're proud to keep growing in Goldsboro."

QT Corporation specializes in the manufacturing of electrical power control systems and switchboards for energy and industrial applications. The company provides power distribution and control equipment supporting renewable energy infrastructure, data centers and electrification projects.

"QT Corporation's decision to locate in Wayne County is a tremendous win for rural Eastern North Carolina," noted North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region President Mark Pope. "This investment demonstrates that our region can successfully compete for advanced manufacturing projects that create high-quality careers and long-term economic opportunities for our citizens. The addition of 188 new jobs and more than $49 million in capital investment will have a lasting impact on Wayne County and the surrounding communities. We are proud that QT Corporation recognized the advantages of doing business here, including our skilled workforce, strategic transportation assets, and strong partnerships at the local, regional, and state levels. This project reinforces the growing momentum we are seeing across Eastern North Carolina and highlights the important role rural communities play in driving the state's economic future."
