Metrican Stamping Expands Dickson, Tennessee, Manufacturing Plant

Metrican Stamping will expand its manufacturing operation, 42 miles west of Nashville, in Dickson, Tennessee. The metal stamping and value-added components manufacturer will invest $18.9 million and create 104 new jobs in Dickson County.

A leading supplier of tooling, stamped metal and value-added components, the company has had stamping operations in Dickson since 2005. Headquartered in Canada, Metrican operates manufacturing and stamping facilities in Canada, Mexico and Tennessee.

With this expansion, Metrican will add 43,000 square feet to its current facility in Dickson County to make room for new equipment and increase production capacity.

“We are pleased to be a part of the Dickson industrial community. We look forward to continuing operations and growth in Middle Tennessee and appreciate the support that state and local government have provided us since our start up in 2005,” Metrican Plant Manager Bob Bowen said.

“I want to thank Metrican for choosing to expand in Dickson and for creating more than 100 new jobs in Dickson County,” Governor Bill Haslam said. “We have focused on fostering an environment in Tennessee where manufacturers can thrive and invest in our communities. I appreciate Metrican for helping Tennessee’s manufacturing industry continue to grow and for helping us get one step closer to our goal of making Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“Tennessee has added over 35,000 jobs to the manufacturing sector over the last five years and I want to thank Metrican for adding more than 100 new jobs in Dickson County,” Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe said. “I appreciate Metrican’s decision to expand its footprint in Dickson and I thank the company for its continued investment in Tennessee.”

Dickson County continues to be an industrial hub of the Middle Tennessee region and we look forward to the continued success of our county through announcements such as the Metrican expansion,” Dickson County Mayor Bob Rial said.
