Stanley Black & Decker Opens Major Distribution Hub in Denton, Texas
02/06/2019
The new distribution center will service central and southern states with an array of power tools and hand tools, and employ more than 300 workers when it opens next month. Stanley Black & Decker’s new facility at AllianceTexas fits the company’s strategic plan of regionalizing our distribution footprint with large and well-located facilities.
Located in Northlake, Texas, at the intersection of Interstate 35W (I-35W) and State Highway 114 (SH-114), Alliance Northport is a 260-acre development which offers one of the lowest tax structures in the region. Its close proximity to Fort Worth Alliance Airport, BNSF Railway’s Alliance Intermodal Facility, the FedEx Express Southwest Regional Hub and the UPS and FedEx Ground Hubs make it a very advantageous location for logistics operations.
“The expansion of our operations in Texas enables us to better serve our customers across the country with a centralized distribution hub for our world-renowned tools, manufactured at our 30 U.S. plants,” said Jeff Ansell, Executive Vice President & President for Stanley Black & Decker’s global tools & storage business. “Concurrently, this new distribution facility reinforces our long-standing commitment to manufacture in America as we continue to invest to deliver products for our customers with record speed.”
“We are excited Stanley Black & Decker decided to locate its new facility in Northlake,” said Peter Dewing, Mayor of Northlake, Texas, Denton County. “We believe business is an integral part of the town. It is the town’s responsibility to ensure we have a business-friendly environment. Stanley Black & Decker will bring additional jobs to our local community and have a lasting positive impact in the region. I am delighted to welcome them to Northlake.”
“As we aim to meet the growing demands of our customers in the central and southern regions of the U.S., Northlake, Texas, is the ideal location to support our current operational needs while also providing future growth opportunities,” said Greg Smulski, Vice President of Real Estate for Stanley Black & Decker.
“Stanley Black & Decker is the world’s largest supplier of tools and storage products, and Hillwood is proud to welcome them to AllianceTexas,” said Tony Creme, Senior Vice President of Hillwood. “Alliance Northport is our newest sector at AllianceTexas, offering over 3 million square feet of world-class industrial facilities with Interstate-frontage and low operating costs.”
