Funds to Energetx Composites for Michigan Wind Turbine Project

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation announced this week that it will give $3.5 million to Energetx Composites, a company that manufactures wind turbines. The U.S. Department of Energy will match the contribution, for a total of $7 million in funds to the company.

Energetx, which is based in Holland, Michigan, will partner with Dow Chemical Co. and Tennessee's Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the project. It expects to bring up to 1,000 new jobs to Holland by 2016.
