Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas Expands Monroe, Georgia, Manufacturing Plant

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc., a Tier 1 supplier of world-class products to the global automotive market, is planning to create 100 jobs and invest at least $100 million, with potential up to $330 million, in an expansion at their existing facility in Monroe, Georgia.

President & CEO Paul Carroll. “The Georgia factory with its great workforce supplies advanced technology products for major automotive OEMs, including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Nissan, Subaru, and Honda. We are happy to continue to invest in the State of Georgia as a result of our great partnership with all of our stakeholders, especially the State of Georgia, Walton County, and the City of Monroe. We look forward to a very bright future together.”

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. is a group company of Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd., which is headquartered in Tokyo and manufactures and markets engine powertrain systems, electric powertrain systems, and integrated vehicle control systems for major automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEM) worldwide.

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. opened their first facility in Georgia in 1997. They currently employ 900 Georgians. The company is expanding to increase production capacity in response to the growth of the automotive industry.
