Blue Delta Jeans Expands Shannon, Mississippi, Manufacturing Operations

05/28/2024
Custom blue jean manufacturer Blue Delta Jeans Company plans to expand operations in Shannon, Mississippi. The $1.5 million project is expected to retain 55 jobs in Lee County.

The investment will include the purchase of the facility that the company currently operates in which will allow it to expand and renovate to fill the entire 25,000 square feet.

“This loan from the Mississippi Development Authority will allow us to remain in our current facility for many years to come. Our state and local partners have supported Blue Delta since we started in 2012, and we appreciate their continued support. We are blessed to call Mississippi home,” said Blue Delta Jeans CEO and Co-founder Josh West.

As an incentive, The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance for building improvements.

“Blue Delta Jeans’ latest investment in Mississippi is indicative of the state’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and its commitment to fostering innovation and growth. MDA is proud to support companies like Blue Delta Jeans as they contribute to our state’s economic prosperity and provide new opportunities for Mississippians,” Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork noted.

Blue Delta Jeans creates custom-fit, tailored blue jeans to each client’s specific measurements. The company’s products are currently sold online and carried by more than 400 wholesale partners across the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Mississippi Development Authority and Lee County for their invaluable support of the Blue Delta expansion project. This is instrumental in propelling our vision forward and creating lasting economic opportunities for our community, added Community Development Foundation Board of Directors Chairman Charlie Kinney.
