Kontane Logistics to Locate Auto Parts Assembly Logistics Plant in Summerville, South Carolina

Founded in 1975, Kontane Logistics, Inc. offers a variety services, including warehousing, packaging and distribution. Additionally, Kontane Logistics, Inc. specializes in providing just in time (solutions to the truck and automotive manufacturing industry.
Kontane Logistics, Inc.’s new facility will be used for light tire and wheel assembly for Volvo Cars. It will also provide for the expanded support of line sequencing and other value-added services offered to Volvo Cars’ supply network. The facility is expected to be online by the fourth quarter of 2020.

The growth of the automotive industry in the South Carolina Lowcountry has been tremendous over the past five years. Kontane Logistics, Inc.’s proximity to these automotive plants, along with our extensive experience in the industry, have allowed us to provide a vital and timely service,” said Kontane Logistics, Inc. COO Rusty Byrd.
