Germany-Based Alzchem Group AG Plans Berkeley County, South Carolina, Production Operations

Germany-based specialty chemicals manufacturer Alzchem Group AG plans to establish operations in Berkeley County, South Carolina.

The $150 million project will include the construction of a new manufacturing facility located at Bushy Park that will expand the company’s domestic production capacity for nitroguanidine, supporting growing demand in the specialty chemicals market.

“With the decision on the location in South Carolina, we are consistently advancing our international growth strategy. Following the expansion of our capacities in Germany, we are now laying the foundation for further growth in the United States. This will strengthen the security of supply for our customers,” said Andreas Niedermaier, CEO of Alzchem Group AG.

Alzchem Group AG develops and manufactures chemical products for agriculture, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, defense, and industrial applications. The company specializes in specialty chemical production, nitroguanidine manufacturing, research and development, and global distribution.
