Cargo Transporters Opens $6 Million Terminal In Rocky Mount, North Carolina

The company, a truckload carrier operating 500 trucks serving the continental US. , has been operating the truckload carrier since 1982 and has been involved in truck leasing, warehousing and transportation for 50 years. The facility, built by Rocky Mount based Smithson, includes; offices, driver lounge, orientation facilities, four shop maintenance bays and parking for 125 tractor-trailer combinations.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to expand our operation closer to our eastern NC customers as well as the ability to hire drivers and employees based in the Rocky Mount area," says Dennis Dellinger, President.
"Providing this state of the art facility closer to drivers' homes will allow them to earn a maximum wage and still have quality time when they are at home with their family," says Dellinger. The facility is also located just 250 yards from the newly announced CSX rail terminal.
